TEAM RULES & GYM ETIQUETTE

RESPECT!!!

Your Self

Your Coaches

Your Facility

Your TEAM

The Team strength facility is only available for use during class time or personal training sessions. No training is to be done inside the room or using TS equipment otherwise.

Be EARLY for training...

  • If you are on time you are LATE!

Safety and Effectiveness are Paramount...

YOU are responsible for your own personal safety and that of your TEAM.

  • Always use clips or collars on a loaded barbell.
  • Do not drop a weight from over head. Always keep two hands on the bar as you drop it to the ground.

Be humble...

  • Check your ego at the door. There is ALWAYS someone out there better than you at something. We don’t care much you can lift or how fast you can finish a workout if your movements are CRAP. MAINTAIN THE MOVEMENT STANDARDS. We train for Quality of movement and efficiency! TRAIN SMARTER NOT HARDER!!!

Be Honest...

  •  Don’t cheat reps. No one cares what your score was, everyone cares if you cheated reps. Be honest with yourself, we all know range of motion standards, crappy reps are not beneficial.

Take Ownership & Accountability...

  • We expect you to play an active role in your progress as a LIFE ATHLETE. You are responsible for logging you training results and POSTING to the website. All of our training is observable, measurable, and repeatable. the only way to know you are getting RESULTS is to keep track.

Take pride in our Facility...

  • Always treat the equipment with respect.
  • Make sure to always rack your weights and clean up any mess you make

Always ask & use Common sense...

  • The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask. Always ask a coach if you are unsure of anything. Use your common sense when approaching most things.

Support your TEAM...

Together Everyone Achieves More!

  • Always be ready to offer a kind or encouraging word to your fellow Life Athletes. If you finish first, stick around when possible to cheer for the rest of the group. Be ready for high fives when it's all done. If you notice an issue with another person's form, range of motion, or cheating, never address the person directly. Discuss it with the coach and let them handle it.

Communicate with your coach...

  • ASSUME that we do not know unless you tell us. We want to make sure your needs are taken care of and that your questions and concerns are addressed. If you are injured or something doesn’t feel right TELL US. We can always modify, scale or substitute.

ALWAYS greet new people...

  • We are a TEAM and we were all beginners once. People are afraid of what they don’t know. REMEMBER, people can and WILL be intimidated by what we do. WE need to make sure we create a welcoming environment for newcomers and make them feel at home. ANYBODY can do what we do!
